Newscan4AFIS - Framework Agreement for Mobile and Contactless Fingerprint Capture in Police Operations

As part of their duties, the police and the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG) rely on reliable and efficient identity verification. Fingerprint data plays a central role in this process, both in routine checks and in forensic investigations. The framework agreement for the current devices is expiring. PTI Switzerland is entering into a framework agreement with an integrator for the provision, integration, and operation of two fingerprint capture systems: a mobile system (scanner on police officers’ smartphones) and a contactless system (app-based capture of fingerprints and facial images via iPhones, connected to MACS/eneXs). Through the framework agreement, PTI partners (including fedpol, BAZG, SEM, cantonal and municipal police forces, and Swiss diplomatic missions abroad) will be able to procure systems and services from the successful bidder.
