Description
The existing Allmend school building was constructed in 1951 and expanded with annexes about two years later. For many years, the available space has been insufficient; consequently, since 2015, school classes have had to be accommodated in temporary structures known as the "Palazzine." Today, the existing school building and the Palazzine house a total of 16 primary school classes and one kindergarten. However, these temporary structures have reached the end of their service life, as has the pavilion on Bachstrasse, which houses two additional kindergartens.
The new building facilitates modern forms of learning, with rooms and spaces that can be adapted to changing needs. The construction of the new Allmend school building will free up the existing building for use by kindergartens, supplementary day-care facilities, and other school-related services.
