What personal data does this site contain?

This site reproduces official publications from simap.ch. Most contract winners are companies. Some, however, are sole proprietorships and self-employed individuals: in those cases the name of a natural person appears together with the contract, the amount and the contracting authority. Contact persons, email addresses and telephone numbers are not collected separately; where the text of a tender contains them, they are reproduced unchanged from simap.ch.

Purpose and justification

The purpose is to make already officially published award decisions findable and comparable. The data was published by federal, cantonal and communal authorities under public-procurement law, is publicly accessible, and is reproduced without changes to its content under the simap.ch API terms of use. The processing rests on the overriding interest in the transparency of public procurement.

Data about visitors

This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services, and embeds no third-party scripts or fonts. There are no user accounts; the only form is the optional sign-up for email alerts (see below). The site is served through GitHub Pages; the hosting provider may record technical connection data such as IP addresses in its own server logs.

Subscription to new tenders (email and RSS)

To receive new tenders by email, sign up with the form on the subscription page or write to abo@auftragsregister.ch. The subscription only becomes active once you click the confirmation link sent to you by email (double opt-in). We process your email address, the cantons and industries you choose, your language, the time and IP address of your confirmation and, for no more than 45 days, the list of tenders already sent to you, so that none is sent twice; all of this solely to send these alerts, on the basis of your own sign-up. The emails contain a tracking pixel and links that pass through a Brevo server, so Brevo may record opens and clicks. You can prevent this by turning off automatic image loading and opening the tenders directly on auftragsregister.ch. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email or by sending an email with the subject “Stop”; we then remove you from the mailing list within 30 days and delete the list of tenders sent. Brevo keeps your contact record (including your email address and the time of sign-up and confirmation), a record that you unsubscribed and the logs of the emails already sent, to make sure you receive no further emails. The data is neither shared nor used for any other purpose. Sign-up and sending are handled by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, EU), which processes the addresses only on our behalf; incoming emails are forwarded by ImprovMX Inc. (USA) to a mailbox at Google LLC (Gmail). The RSS feeds need no sign-up and send us no personal data.

Archive and retention

The data is refreshed daily from simap.ch. Older publications are kept as an archive, even once they can no longer be queried through the simap.ch interface.

Your rights

You may at any time request access to the data concerning you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to the processing. A short email to the address above is enough; requests are handled free of charge. The publication on simap.ch remains authoritative: a correction should also be requested from the authority that published it.
