Description
CACM[1], SOGL[2] and CEP[3] directives of the EU (European Union) are designed with the goal to prepare European electricity transmission grids and energy markets for high penetration of renewable energy sources in the future. One of the biggest challenges for European TSOs is to ensure grid security under conditions with increased cross-zonal capacities. Grid security is expected to be ensured through redispatch coordinated on European level. This shall be established through SOGL Art. 76 - Regional Operational Security Coordination (ROSC). The international ROSC processes follow a complex methodology, interlinked with numerous other methodologies which originate from CACM, SOGL and CEP directives. The subject of this tender is solely the support local implementation of ROSC at Swissgrid. Swissgrid runs a project to adapt its existing processes and fit them to the requirements of the ROSC Methodology. This includes the development of new software that shall be operated at Swissgrid. The vendors for the new software were selected in summer 2023, and the development has started in autumn 2023.
