Description

The existing energy centre at Bullingerstrasse 39 in Zurich is to be extended by a two-storey annex comprising a basement and a ground floor. The basement will accommodate technical rooms and a pellet storage area, while the new heating plant will be located on the ground floor.
The scope of the building construction works includes, in particular, excavation support using a braced soldier pile wall, the necessary earthworks and excavation works, including open dewatering to drain slope water and rainwater, as well as foundation works involving micropiles. The contract also includes all concrete and reinforced concrete works for the floor slabs, walls and ceilings of the new building. The basement structures in contact with the ground must be constructed as a watertight structure using waterproof concrete (so-called “Yellow Tank” construction method).
