Description

Fire-stopping systems for horizontal and vertical wall and ceiling penetrations, whether concealed or exposed. Applications cover openings for electrical cables, ventilation ducts, and plumbing, heating, and gas piping—including rectangular and circular shapes or larger surface areas. Fire-stopping ratings of EI (S) 90 apply to concrete slabs and shafts, as well as sand-lime brick walls, concrete walls, and lightweight partition walls. Installation involves either a system using 50–60 mm mineral fiber boards coated on both sides with a fire-retardant finish, or a rigid seal using special mortar. All fire-stopping systems must be constructed to be smoke- and gas-tight.
