Aufgrund der Ausserbetriebnahme der Energiezentrale des ehemaligen Kantonsspitals ist der Bau einer neuen Pelletsheizung als Energiezentrale an der Artherstrasse 25 geplant. Über die Fernwärmeleitung versorgt die neue Energiezentrale die Liegenschaften Hofstrasse 15, 20 und 22 sowie Artherstrasse 25.
